Caldwell Vineyard Showhouse: The Mariner’s Retreat

For the Traditional Home Napa Valley Showhouse, we transformed a 1920s cheese barn into a cozy, maritime-inspired retreat that honors both Caldwell Vineyard’s landscape and the Bay Area’s nautical history. With SMW Design, I contributed across concepting, planning, sourcing, rendering, and installation, shaping a space that feels intimate, layered, and story-rich.

Exposed rafters became the architectural centerpiece, grounding the room with warmth and character. A coastal palette of navy, charcoal, and sand mingles with maritime antiques, tactile fabrics, and handcrafted details—creating a retreat that is both transportive and deeply rooted in its surroundings.
