This classic San Francisco Pacific Heights residence was designed with luxury, history, and hospitality in mind. To create an atmosphere of comfortable sophistication, we blended a precise mix of modern and vintage design elements. In doing so, we paired sleek contemporary pieces with reupholstered heirloom furniture, layering glass and chrome finishes against traditional Scottish wool, while reimagining the historic Italianate interior architecture in clean modern colors. The spacious, redesigned foyer, living room, and dining room spanning the front of the home make this the perfect place for throwing parties, while the elegant upstairs features three ensuite bedrooms for relaxing in style or hosting visiting guests. As an interior designer for this project with SMW Design, I collaborated on this project from the ground up, managing design development, client presentations, construction documentation, product design and visualization, product specification and vendor sourcing, demolition and construction, manufacturer coordination, installation, and styling.
